Journalist to Direct Media Relations at Saint Michael's
NEWARK, N. J. (October
30, 2009) –– Carol Ann Campbell, an award-winning medical
journalist, has been named Director of Media Relations at Saint Michael’s
Medical Center, the Newark hospital announced today.
“My skills as a writer and medical journalist will enable me to
help members of the media who cover the evolving world of medicine,”
Campbell said. “As a former newspaper reporter, I truly understand
the challenges reporters face unraveling the complex scientific, economic
and political aspects of health care today.”
Campbell worked as a medical reporter for The Star-Ledger for more than
a decade and was named New Jersey Press Association Journalist of the
Year in 2008. She previously worked as a columnist and medical reporter
for The (Bergen) Record.
