The
Connie Dwyer Breast Center
Names New Medical Director
NEWARK, N.J. (October
10, 2007) –– Jan A. Huston,
M.D., FACS, is the new medical director of The Connie Dwyer Breast Center.
A state-of-the-art facility providing expert diagnosis and treatment of
breast diseases and the latest in breast cancer prevention, early detection,
and educational outreach programs, The Connie Dwyer Breast Center is located
on the campus of Saint Michael’s Medical Center, an affiliate of
Cathedral Healthcare System.

“Dr. Huston has the experience, expertise, and
commitment to advance the vital mission of The Connie Dwyer Breast Center,”
said Robert Evans, chief operating officer of Cathedral Healthcare System,
“and she will do so with great compassion, skill and dedication.”
Dr. Huston, a general and vascular surgeon who practiced
in Greater Newark for many years, is a Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. She holds
a B.S. in Nursing from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Clinical
Psychology from Western Michigan University, and an M.D. from Michigan
State University. Dr. Huston served a residency in General Surgery at
Saint Barnabas Medical Center and a fellowship in General Vascular Surgery
at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. During her residency, she received training
at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Dr. Huston is the founder and director of Summit Breast
Care. Her partners in the practice, Michelle O’Shea, M.D., FACS,
and Diana Addis, M.D., will also be joining the medical staff at The Connie
Dwyer Breast Center.

dedicated physician, Dr. Huston will be a tremendous addition to our medical
staff,” said Felicia Karsos, administrator of Saint Michael’s
Medical Center. “We are very pleased to welcome her and her colleagues,
Dr. O’Shea and Dr. Addis, to The Connie Dwyer Breast Center at Saint
Michael’s Medical Center.”
