Saint James Campus to Host HIV Education, Awareness Event in East Ward NEWARK, N. J. (July 6, 2009)–– The Saint James Campus of Saint Michael’s Medical Center, located at 155 Jefferson Street in Newark’s East Ward, will host a free HIV education and awareness event on Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The community health event, which is open to the public, is the latest in an array of free health screenings and educational sessions offered at the Ironbound-based medical campus. The July 25 event will include informative lectures in English and Spanish, and medical personnel, professional counselors, and caretakers to people living with HIV will be available for questions and discussion. Free rapid HIV testing and counseling will be offered, with results available in as little as 20 minutes. Refreshments will be provided.
